
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is striker. She also is captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division for women's soccer in United States. From 2018 to 2020, she was co-captained by the women's soccer national team, along with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was picked as number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she was able to graduate early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. The team made her professional debut and was a part of the team's success in winning the league title. Morgan was just 22 at the time, and was the youngest player in the national team in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics. She was able to finish 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists, joining Mia Hamm as the only American woman to score 20 goals and record 20 assists in the same calendar year , making her the sixth and the tiniest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season.
