
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25, 1994 was an American retired artistic gymnast. She was twice an Olympian. She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the in 2016 the "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she took home a gold in the team competition, making her and teammate Gabby Douglas the sole Americans with back-to-back gold team medals. Raisman was also awarded silver in the individual all around and floor exercise. Raisman has silver medals from the individual all-around in addition to the floor exercise. She is also two-time national champion in floor exercise (2012 and 2015) and was the national champion in balance beam in 2012. She is also five times medalist in the all-around national championships (silver and bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012 and the year 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
